Thank you Karen S. for sharing:
Celebrate National Engineers Week at the EnergyExplorium on Friday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
If you've been to one of our homeschool events in the past, this one will be a bit different.
We'll start with a presentation discussing the practical uses of engineering. Then, students will break up into groups of 5 to 10 people and work on an engineering problem and come up with a solution. Groups will be given all the material needed and will have one hour to work collectively on the project. Students will then present their project to the rest of the homeschool participants. A prize will be awarded to the winning group - a panel of Duke Energy volunteers will judge the projects.
Note: This event is open students to middle and hgh school students only.
This is a free event. Space is limited.
Registration will only be taken online by clicking here.
If you have questions about the program, please email us.
Thanks,
EnergyExplorium Staff
