Mallard Creek Recreation Center will be hosting Opera Carolina as they present a Sing-A-Story: Tortoise and the Hare on Sunday May 21st at 2:00pm!

This fun, musical experience will be great for the whole family to enjoy.
The event is FREE and open to everyone, and no registration is required, so bring your family and friends!

Through our partnership with the Arts and Science Council, Opera Carolina is working with Culture Blocks to provide cultural programming for communities across Charlotte.

With our touring program, Opera Xpress, and the story of The Tortoise & the Hare, we are sharing this musical telling of the classic fable through the library’s story hour! While reading the classic fable, The Tortoise & the Hare, our talented cast members would sing along and elaborate on the story taking place. This musical storytelling would remain short and sweet as to fall within the Storytime schedule, but would bring a new light to a familiar tale.

It will be a wonderful time of musical fun for the whole family!
