Hi, I was wondering how many homeschooling families are members of Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics and would welcome a Homeschool Youth Explosion class that takes place weekday mornings during the school year.
If you are in the same situation as I am, my boys are older and do not want to "sit with babies" in their Kid Watch to allow me time to exercise. Typically HFFA only offers the Youth Explosion class Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm during the school year but that is when most sports, scouts, dinner, take place.
Right now, during the summer, they have classes every morning (except Friday they only go until 10:30am) from 9:30-11:30am and my boys love it! They get to be active and play games like kickball, dodgeball, sharks and minnows, etc. And, it's free to HFFA members!
I'm wondering, if there is enough interest, if we could encourage the staff to provide a year-long class like this. Homeschool moms (like me) need breaks to exercise, take care of ourselves, plan, and sometimes just compile our thoughts and breathe in peace.
I've mentioned this in the past before, but they have said they hadn't had enough interest. I think they just weren't looking in the right places.
