The The Homeschool Room Huntersville and The Homeschool Room Matthews is Hiring!

"The Homeschool Room is NOW HIRING at both locations!
The Homeschool Room offers a place to apply organizational skills, and an opportunity to engage with the community in a friendly, fulfilling, and encouraging atmosphere.
What exactly are we looking for? What skills are needed?
Glad you asked, because we have a list!
Applicants need the following skills:
-Familiarity with homeschooling and general curriculum options. (Being a previous or current homeschool mom usually provides the perspective needed to relate to shoppers and typically satisfies this requirement.)
-Customer service oriented (even while multi-tasking and in stressful situations where the phone may be ringing like a 911 call center)
-Ability to perform data entry with typing proficiency
-Cash handling experience is a definite plus, but can be taught
-Scheduling flexibility during the hours The Homeschool Room is open
-Must be able to lift 25 lbs. (15 times, in rapid succession over your head... just kidding!) Seriously though, some boxes of books are heavy, and you will need to be able to lift them.
-Responsible, reliable, conscientious, industrious, and dependable
-Need to genuinely like people and enjoy interacting with them
-Must be able to stand for “long-ish” periods
During a 60 day training period applicant needs to be available to work two or three days a week to effectively learn the processes. Once training is completed, hours and frequency are flexible.
***Please note: Unfortunately, due to the expense and time investment of this training we unable to offer short term, seasonal, student, temporary, or transitional employment positions.***
Please send an email requesting an application to thehomeschoolroom@gmail.com
Once completed, simply return your application to the same email address or deliver to either store location.
Do us a favor, like and share our post with your friends ;) "
