Fall Homeschool Day at Chimney Rock

Homeschool families and associations have been coming to the Park for experiential education opportunities for years. Hands-on programs with naturalists, guided hikes on a variety of trails and the chance to meet new families from around the region are just some of the reasons our annual homeschool events have become so popular.

In 2017 we’re teaming up with some of our partners to bring you opportunities for more than one day. So, make a trip of it and take advantage of the many lessons we have planned for you.

Cost: $12 Adults (Park admission); no charge Annual Passholder; $13 Youth (ages 5-15), $7.50 Annual Grady’s Kids Club Member

New Groups added to the Social Network ~ It's all about the Arts!

Three new groups have been add to The Homeschool Gossip Social Network and it's all about the Arts! Join and get connected with other homeschoolers who share your interests!

  • THSG Teen Artist Sketch Club ~ A place for teen artists to connect and share their artwork, post draw challenges, schedule meet ups. We are planning a monthly meeting, time & location TBD.

  • THSG Homeschooling Youtubers ~ Are you a Youtuber, or want to be? This is a place for homeschooling Youtubers to connect and share their channels, videos, tips and tricks! We hope to plan some meet ups too! 

  • THSG Teen 'n Alumni Hip Hop Club ~ This group is open to dancers of all skill levels. This group was created for homeschool teens and alumni who like Hip Hop to arrange meet ups to dance for fun and to learn new moves, to post videos, your own or tutorials you’ve found, share playlists, and connect with others who like Hip Hop! We plan to have a monthly meeting and some dances. Time and Locations TBD.
